Keep Moving

If you are going to hold on to your miracle and your dream,
Then you are going to have to keep moving, keep moving, keep moving. Always keep moving towards your goal!

You may have to crawl to get there, keep crawling.
You may have to cry a lot of tears along the way, keep moving.
You may get knocked down, but get up and get going.

Don't let anything (or anyone) keep you from reaching your dream!

A Word Of Comfort

The things we sometimes want the most, are the things we are most scared of. It is like love as a bar of soap... hold on too tightly and it'll slip from your fingers. Gently hold and it's yours forever. This writing thing needs to be taken more lightly.

You're too serious about it. Just dip your toes in and test the temperature. Then you can just dive in when you're ready...

The (W)rite Time

Many of you would have known that I have been thinking about writing a book, perhaps for a long time.

And you would have heard oh-so-many times that i'm not writing yet because I can't find the time to write.

I was 'getting around to' writing my first book since I was in college (like 5 years ago). I never had enough time, enough information, and perhaps even enough confidence. These are some of the common excuses, and I personally turned down the opportunity to ghost-write a book because I didn't believe I could do it. The time was never right. Well, honestly, I was only thinking about working on it. Thinking about it, is definitely not doing anything about it!

So I have decided to start writing today. If you are in the same shoes that I am, let's write, write, write and write and write. Trust me, you need nothing to start but yourself, a pen and paper or a computer (or the classic typewriter). And the most important is the decision to start writing. There is really no other solution.

Happy writing!

All Expense Paid

Last morning on the all expense paid cruise vacation, we met two angels - Rosita and Lily.

Lily invited us to stay at her house when we're in Singapore! Rosita gave me a great womanly advice.

If this trip was meant for something special, it is meeting these two ladies. They reminded me to be a 'wife'.

I am so thankful for this experience! Everything was paid for, even the invaluable chats and advices from the people we met on board.

Praise the Lord!

I Wish I Were

Sometimes, I wish I were someone else, leading a different life... because I've always thought I'm not good enough.

At home, I was in my sister's shadows
She's the one who creates conversations with Papa and Mama effortlessly and makes them laugh with her natural humour.

In school, I was in my cousin's shadows
She's the one who's smart, beautiful, eloquent and witty.

At work, I was in my colleague's shadows
She's the one who's better with words, outspoken, one who speaks her mind.

I'm not upset people are better than me. I was just envious. I wanted to be them!

While these thoughts were lingering on my mind, I realised that God never asks us to compare ourselves with anyone else. In fact, I think God would NOT like us to look at someone else and say, "I wish I were more like her."

Why? Because God tenderly and uniquely designed us just the way He wanted us to be. He made us for Himself. He made you in a way that can never be duplicated.

When we begin to compare ourselves with another person, we are saying, "God, You made a mistake. You could have done a better job creating me."

How dare we say otherwise when the Creator looks at each of His created beings and says, "It is good!"

God made you for His own purposes so that you might reflect a unique aspect of His glory. When we cease to compare ourselves with others and refuse to be intimidated by what other people think and say, we are then in the position to birth that business, that ministry, that effort to change our community that God intended.

How dare you compare yourself with somebody else! People in this world may have certain expectations of who we should be, and I know it can be very tiring, trying to play the role we are not. so the good news is... God wanted you to be YOU. Nobody else, but YOU!

Now, you can be yourself, because God made you so... and His creations are always GOOD!
