Again...?

Yep, I think I'm in love... again!

When I'm around you, I just get all so shy
When you look at me, I drown in your eyes
I wish I could help myself from falling deeper
But maybe I didn't want any help either...?
All these feelings mixed up, I know it is silly
But I couldn't help it, and just let it be...

Take NOT Life For Granted

Last Thursday, I religiously flipped through The Star newspaper in the morning and scanned the obituary section, before reading the World Cup updates.

Something stopped me - a beautiful 11-year-old girl who returned to the Lord on 30 June 2010. Dearly loved and missed by her dado, mum, two sisters and the rest of the family. Then, I made a silent prayer for her and her family.

Today, my cousin shared on Facebook that she was reading the story of Anya McKinney, which touch the deepest of her heart. The name was familiar and I clicked on Anya's page... then her slideshow and His love for Anya.

I immediately recognised the face. Anya McKinney, the little girl whom I met in the newspapers. I cannot fathom the emotions, for no one who has not experienced the loss of a child can truly understand. Although we may hear many accidents and deaths everyday, it is definitely different when it touches the family.

Anya's story, and many such heart-touching stories always remind me to appreciate and love our family, friends, ourselves... and especially life. And everything else, trust God.

In Matthew 6:25 Jesus said "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?" He continued in Matthew 6:27 saying, "which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?"

May the McKinneys be comforted in the Lord's love and embrace.

God Is Our Helper

Yesterday, Pastor shared about how we magnify our problems rather than magnifying what God can do. He has the solutions for us, only if you humbly come to him and ask. He said, "Ask and it shall be given, knock and it shall be open." We need to learn to ask for the Lord's divine help and intervention. We need to trust in the Lord for His ways are higher than ours!

Sometimes, it's hard to ask (for many reasons - inadequacy, worthlessness, guilt, disbelief and the list continues). But you'll be amazed by the power of prayer and you'll be amazed by God's great solutions instored.

With all honesty, sometimes the world's worries wear me down and at low moments like this, I did feel unworthy of God's help. But it was written in Hebrews 13:5 that for He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you. And continues to the following verse, so we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

Today, I did some catching up at meet me in the meadow and this post caught my attention - so much in lined with yesterday's message... you are not alone *gently pat on your shoulder (and mine too)*

You are not alone
For God is with you.
You are not defenseless
For God is your protector.
You are not inadequate
For God is your sufficiency.
You are not useless
For God has a purpose for your life.
You are not worthless
For God sent His Son to die for you.
You are not without hope
For God has a place prepared for you.
You are not unloved
For God loves you with an everlasting lofe
You are not rejected or abandoned
For God call you His own.

Have a blessed week ahead!
